The Nutcracker

DDC has presented the Nutcracker ballet since 2001. We present the full story in a time format suitable for all ages and at a price point that makes it affordable for the whole family. Join us for this wonderful winter tradition this December!

*Note: Auditions for the Nutcracker have a mandatory parent meeting directly after each audition time slot

Important Information

  • Saturday September 6th at DDC.

    Primary Level Audition: 1pm-2:15pm

    Secondary Level Audition: 2:30pm-3:45pm

    MANDATORY PARENT MEETING: Occurs after each audition time slot

    *First time audition - Please speak with Sandy Morgan

  • The performances of the 2025 Nutcracker will occur at Wydown Middle School on December 12th, 13th, and 14th.

    The MANDATORY dress rehearsal will be at Wydown Middle School the Thursday before, December 11th.

  • Dancers must attend a minimum of two weekly ballet classes that are maintained throughout the season.

    *Students must have previous ballet experience as determined by the director in order to audition.

    *Dancewear Requirements: Pink tights and ballet shoes, pointe shoes (dependent on role)

    There is no costume fee for the production, but dancers are responsible for replacement or repair costs to lost or damaged costumes.
